Question/Problem
How to recover from HWLimitNeg Fault on ICL
Environment
PLC Desinger (Lenze)
Bomgar Remote Connection
Answer/Solution
This Fault comes when X axis is not completing homing or completing the homing at wrong position/direction, in this scenario we will not get the correct values for Homing Sensor(Laser distance sensor which is underneath the TD and pointing towards the cabinet).
How to check the Home Sensor Value:
Go to I/O screen and check highlighted values shown below, the maximum value is 5000 and it should be decreasing towards the Inbound channel, here we can see X limit Negative value is 6000, also we noticed TD Top X limit Positive values were keep fluctuating, that was the reason we were getting HWLimitNeg fault.
Resolution:
- The Best way is to clear the event Log and try to Home Servos X,Y,Z( First do Z axis and make sure Gap is clear) from Manual screen.
- If Events are not clearing after Reset Event, and you are not able to home the TD from Manual screen, then ask site to check the sensor (Homing Sensor), make sure it is clear and cleaned and aligned properly.
- Ask site to move the Transfer Device manually to the Home Position(to channel [1,1]).
- Once TD is at the Home position, Put Machine in Production , It should be good then.
