Question/Problem
Robot deplalletizer will not process and new pallet/not pick cartons. Sits idle and may throw a vision fault.
Environment
- TJX, El Paso Only
- SFD PLC
- MC4 Data table
- MC4 Memory Viewer
Answer/Solution
It could be that MC4 and the robot PLC are out of sync. The PLC Pallet ID does not match the MC4 pallet ID. Follow the steps below to manually sync them.
- RDP to the Smart Flex Robot Server
- Go online with robot PLC
- Verify that Robot and MC4 are out of sync. Reference the image below.
P13_Robot1_Control - > R00_MapIn -> Rung11 -> Pallet Scanner Data

4. IF THEY ARE OUT OF SYNC. Follow this Knowledge base article to manually sync them and have the site try to run the robot again
There are other reasons for why the robot would still be in IDLE.
There are two ways to troubleshoot the Socket Connection Issues.
1. Locate the socket states in the code. Delete all. Create, and then Read Sockets
2. You can coordinate with the site and they can reset the sockets from the HMI
- Palletizer Dimensions:
Sometimes the Robot becomes IDLE, when the dimensions of the pallet are either two small or two big. The best way to troubleshoot this is rejecting the pallet. Afterwards, you can through a new pallet.
