How to:
AXIS Camera View Edit
Skill required to complete this article: Controls and level is Advanced.
The purpose of this document is to explain how to set up different views for each camera for use in ICW.
*NOTE* - This document will not allow the user to change the specific camera name seen in the “Camera Select:” dropdown box in Command Center, but rather only the “Camera View Select:” names and live video feed views.

WARNING! – Not following this guide step by step, or doing any other configuration not specified in this document, has the potential of disabling the camera.  It is highly discouraged to explore the other options associated with this camera utility.

In order to change the saved view for a specific camera, please follow these steps:
1) Open up a web browser (Internet Explorer is recommended).
2) Type in the IP address of the camera you wish to change the saved views, then hit enter.

3) A dialog box should appear requesting the username and password for the camera.
User name: root
Password: controls
The IP address you entered should appear in the title bar of the dialog box (see left picture).  If it does, enter the correct username and password and hit “OK”.  If a dialog box appears with a different IP address than what you entered (such as the image on the right), you have entered an invalid IP address and you will need to re-enter the IP address into the address bar in Internet Explorer.

4) You will be taken to a screen that looks similar to the one below.  The live video feed from the specific camera IP you entered should appear on the screen.  Click the “Setup” link at the top right of this page.

5) Once the below screen is loaded, click “PTZ Configuration” on the left side (see image below)

6) This screen is where you can modify/add/remove views for the specific camera.  Simply change the view of the camera you want by either clicking your mouse on the video feed itself (A), or by using the controls to the right and below of the video feed (B).  Once a view is found in which the user would like saved, simply type in a name for the view in the “Current Position” field (C), and then hit the “Add” button (D).  If you want to make that specific view the home view (the first view seen when user first selects to view the video feed from that specific camera), check the “Use current position as Home” checkbox (E) before hitting the “Add” button.  In order to remove a view, simply select the view you want in the “Available positions” dropdown box (F) and then click the “Remove” button (G).

In order to see the change to a camera’s views in ICW, the user must restart the ICW application.
