How to:
QVC: Activating replacement devices using a Laptop or PC
Skill required to complete this article: Software ~ Order Fulfillment Put-To-Light and level is Novice.
  1.  Log on to the server using Putty and SSH (Putwall Server IP is 10.31.8.73 and port is 22)

 

 

  2. Log on as user: replace, key in the password and press Enter.

 

 NOTE  QVC IT retains ownership of the admin credentials associated with their account. As per the customer’s internal security policy, the admin password must be reset on a regular basis to ensure continued account security and compliance. 

 

→ the screen shows the following.

1. Replace Device

2. Exit

 

3. Type 1 (Replace Device) and press Enter.

→ The screen shows the following:

  Enter section or scan slot

 

  4. Scan the label or key in the QVC slot location without using a hyphen followed by: 
    _PACK01 if you are replacing a device on the back (PACK) side of the put wall
OR
   _PUT01 if you are replacing a device on the front (PUT) side of the put wall

  (Example: WC01B08_PACK01)

  and press Enter.

→ The laptop shows the following. 
Activate New Device?

5. Press any button on the new cL device. 
→ The laptop shows the following. 
Finalize Replace (y/n)


6. To confirm the replacement, enter y and press Enter
→ The laptop shows the following. 
DB Update Succeeded 
Enter section 
Enter e to exit the program

7. If you want to continue replacing devices, key-enter the appropriate location ID. OR, if you want to stop replacing devices, enter e and press 
            Enter.
