How to:
troubleshoot T3B old hardware light system.

1. Run a light test on the controller. Stop the controller by typing "stop_controller". type lightTest, the section to be tested and 60 for mandatory pause time, enter. 

2. If the section is not lighting have maintenance check the devices on the trak. make sure the back pins are touching the trak and that the trak is clean. 

3. Next check the tims. On the older hardware they do not use nodeboards. The tims are daisy chain together from the top shelf downward. The power cable(grey) from the converters/repeaters and is daisy chained to the other tims devices and the Ethernet cables(blue) also daisy chain them together.

 

4. Next check the cables going to the converters.

5. Then check the converters.

6. Lastly use the light Test to check that all the devices have the correct unit_id. Stop the light Test and display all the bad devices that did not pass. Send to the client via email to have them check the unit ids of the devices. A device may not have been programmed correctly.
