Question/Problem

Scanner Max init attempts limit exceeded alarm on the Tilt Tray sorters

CSC3:

Environment

Tilt Tray Sorter (S2000, CSC3)

Answer/Solution

Information:

When an ISD or the scanner connected to it is reset, the ISD sends an initialization telegram to the scanner. The scanner then goes through an initialization routine and responds with a telegram saying it is done and ready to scan.

Root Cause:

If the ISD does not get a response from the init telegram, after maybe 5 or so attempts, it generates this alarm.

Fix:

The problem could be that the scanner is powered off or not working. Or the issue could be with the ISD and its connection to the scanner.
